2026 Inaugural Writer in Residence, Josephine Mills

In collaboration with the Writing Department and Lee Henderson, the garden is happy to welcome Josephine Mills as our inaugural Writer in Residence for the 2026 summer! 

Office hours are Tuesdays 11am - 12pm in the garden office B020 in the Student Union Building basement. 

Josephine Mills is a poet, artist, and songwriter living and working in Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ territories. In the past she has served as Poetry Editor for the Warren Undergraduate Review and her poems have been featured in This Side of West and Sundew. You can find her wandering around outside singing to herself and searching for a nice patch of grass to lay on.
