When to Sow Outdoors:

• Sow peas in February.
• Sow greens, early spring greens, and mezuna lettuce in late February / early March.
• For cilantro, parsley, basil, and chard, sow in April / May.
• Between mid-April and mid-May, sow winter leeks in nursery beds before transplanting to trenches around mid-July.
• Sow parsnips and celeriac from late May to mid-June.
• In May, sow squash, beans and tomatoes.
• In late May, transplant tomatoes and leeks.
• In late June, sow carrots, brussel sprouts, purple sprouting broccoli, spring cauliflower and kale.
• Plant purple Chinese garlic in August.
• Sow fava beans and garlic in Fall.
